Tips To Start Your Own Successful Blogging For Business
Before you can start into blogging for business, you should first make a plan as to how you are going to get started in the first place. Why?
Simply for the reason that blogging, though it may be quick and easy to set up, also entails some factors that will need your utmost consideration. Here are some helpful tips that you may use to start your blogging site on the Web now!
Classify Your Target Audience
As in any business, the first and most crucial step in starting your blog site is that of identifying which is your target audience or niche market and eventually applying the Paretto Principle which states that you must first identify the top 20% of your key customers or target market which will surely bring the 80% of business sales you want to achieve.
Decide What You Really Have To Say And Say It
In the process of setting up your blogging for your business, you should first immediately decide what you have to say to your target audience or target market. And make sure that when you write what you have to say, your customers are surely going to read them and learn something from them. Sometimes, bloggers would just write anything to keep their blog sites alive.
Oftentimes, there are bloggers who tend to be talking about something which in essence, they are completely unknowledgeable of. What a pity, because they are just throwing away their opportunity to add more prospective loyal customers to their database.
Pinpoint Where You Want To Keep Your Blog
It is also important to identify beforehand where you prefer your blog to stay. If you do not know yet how to set up your location for your blog, it might do you good to just grab a hold of the various software packages which allow you to add your blog to an existing Web site.
Try Blog Hosting Site
Or if you prefer an easier one, simply go for the blog hosting site wherein a link coming from your own Web site will automatically bring more customers over your site. This is truly very simple and trouble-free since the site is the one that will give the already formatted designs and alternatives from which you can select.
Get Your Facts Straight And Start Communicating
It is not sufficient that you throw all your efforts into writing down your thoughts, or pooling all your observations as well as your view points into your blog.
More so, it is not enough that there is something for your customers to read, oh no. What is really important is that you make sure you give your blogs a taste of freshness and uniqueness at all times. This will definitely boost your blogging traffic really fast.
Remember, a successful business owner does not only blog by declaring some marketing speech about how good your business has turned out, why and how? Or chatter the blog away with some news and current events which are not actually your forte at all.
Remember, your readers can always feel what you are writing. Be true, heartfelt and pleasantly convincing and you are sure to make more success in your business for sure.

There are many online tools that can help you effectively promote and market your products or services. One is blogging.
What is a Blog?
A blog is like a simple online journal that you can use to reach out to others around the world. You can put up several blog sites where you can feature your products and services. You can use blogging for business promotion.
The traffic that you will generate will help give your products and services their needed exposure so that you can attract more customers.
The challenge for bloggers is to be able to increase the ranking of their blogs. Many social scientists have observed that the current period we are now in is labeled as the “age of attention” and no longer the “information age.”
If you want to survive in this new age, you have to ensure that you come up with content that is of high-quality, one that will capture people who use the internet. And with millions of information bombarding the internet every second, it’s crucial that your blog tops the search engine rankings.
How to Increase Traffic and Improve SEO Rankings
There are different ways that you can employ to increase traffic to your blog and to improve your blog’s credibility.
• You have to regularly post new content, which should be interesting, relevant, and informative. Content is the meat that will make your readers come back for more.
• You can make use of RSS Feeds so that your blog posts will be immediately available to other sites or individual subscribers.
• You can participate in relevant and related forums. Leave interesting comments to engage readers and solicit their reaction. When you do, there’s a great chance that they will link to your blog site.
• You should also regularly post comments to the blogs of your potential customers. This will help you generate more followers.
You can also be more personal in your blog. You can post your pictures and write about your field of expertise, which should be related to your products. If you’re selling software, you’ll be more credible if you are an IT expert.
You can also use your blog as an avenue to educate others in your field of expertise. You can instantly inform your existing or prospective customers on any new product features or developments in your business—if you open new outlets or if you have new promos, for instance. These continued updates will enhance your reputation as a reliable supplier or a stable business partner.
Blogging will definitely increase your products’ exposure, attract new buyers, and sustain the interest and trust of your existing customers. If you want a better edge over your competitors, blogging for business is a great option.

Knowing Your Target Market For Effective Blogging For Business
You may have started blogging for business and created a business blog with a carefully chosen theme. But, because it’s a business blog, it’s important that you first consider your target customers before proceeding with the series of content that you would like to post.
Without proper consideration, you might miss the real purpose of your blog, which is to catch the attention of your prospective customers.
Web surfers are very diverse and they have different backgrounds, preferences, and lifestyle. Therefore, market segmentation is very important. Your target market will depend much on the products or services that you are selling, and you better know your products very well. It is your products that determine the demographic profile of your customers.
Before conceptualizing the theme of your blog, it would be better if you have a definite profile of your ideal customer in mind. This profile will represent your target market segment. The basic demographic profile includes age, gender, and social or economic status. The categories under each profile are as follows:
• Age. Does your target market consist of children, teenagers, adults, or senior citizens?
• Gender. Are your target customers male, female, or transgender?
• Economic Status. Do they belong in low income, middle income, affluent, or rich group?
• Location or address.
These profile or sets of traits should match the characteristics or features of the products or services that you are offering. Remember, however, that these classifications are still relatively broad and apply only to basic commodities where product differentiation by consumers is still not so distinct. Examples are medicines or medical services, foods, educational services, and others.
For stricter market segmentation, you can differentiate your target markets or narrow them further according to customer temperaments, needs, goals, and fears. Specifically, you can distinguish them according to:
• Needs – sense of accomplishments, sense of belonging, self actualization
• Goals – productivity, efficiency, savings, safety
• Temperaments – serious, happy go lucky, complacent
• Fears – old age, poverty, ill health, rejection
There are still more categories to further narrow your market segment such as educational attainment, lifestyle, mindset, family size, political views, etc. These are relevant if the products or services that you are offering are highly specialized or customized such as travel or vacation packages, luxury cars, high tech gadgets, and other.
Having a clear picture of the common characteristics of your target market when blogging for business will help you decide what theme or blog design to use, the appropriate mode or tone of your article, and the right web graphics that you need to employ.
These details may overwhelm you at first. But, you should realize that your purpose for blogging is to attract web users who are more likely to use your products or services and to influence them to buy and patronize what you offer. Bear in mind as well that customers now are more discriminating, especially if the products are quite expensive. They scrutinize details and compare them with competing brands.
So to make your blog more effective, know your products well and create a profile of your target market based on your products’ characteristics and features.
Then, post blog content that will appeal to your target market. Remember, your business blog is created to generate sales. Keep your focus so you will not waste time and effort when blogging for business.

Blogging For Business: Features That Can Boost Sales
The term blog is short for web log. It is a web page where you can log in regularly and post text or graphics content. There are blogs that you can have for free while others you would have to pay for. Sites like WordPress, Blogger, and MyBlogSite offer free blog space. Because of this, a blog is probably the most convenient way to own a personal site online.
Blogs can be personal, professional, or business. Personal blogs are purely personal journals of their owner. Pro blogs or professional blogs are created to earn income by posting ads and writing articles to promote certain products or services for a fee. Meanwhile, business blogs are created for the purpose of promoting the products or services sold by the blog owner. Blogging for business has become the new trend among businessmen today.
A blog is more convenient to use than a regular website. Other than its cost efficiency, it is also easier to manage. You can easily make all its content appear in the main page, unlike with websites where you may have to deal with different pages. Your posts can contain texts, photos, graphics, and videos. Entries appear chronologically, usually with the latest occupying the topmost area. Plus, blogs can also be easily updated.
If you are into blogging for business, the following are some of the blog features that you must be familiar with other than content:
Archive
A blog archive is a collection of old posts which are usually grouped by week or month. The archive is usually located in the blog’s sidebar or near the header, somewhere that will facilitate easy access to old posts.
Categories
Related blog entries can be grouped into categories such as products, promos, services, and others. This will facilitate easy access of visitors to those entries that catch their interest.
Blogroll
This is a list of blogs that you like or follow, located in your blog’s sidebar or below for easy access. You can include your other blog sites in your blogroll so that your blog viewers can link to them easily. If your business is flower arrangements and you’re also selling gardening supplies, for example, you can place a link to your gardening supplies blog in the blogroll of your flower arrangement page.
Blogrolls are great traffic generator. If you are included in the blogroll of other sites and blogs, your site will get a greater exposure. Site visitor can easily click on your link and arrive on your site. And if your blog has many incoming links from other high quality blogs, it will rank higher in search engines.
Comments
Another feature that you can include in your blog is the section for comments. Your blog visitors can easily leave comments on every article you post, to which you respond accordingly. If you diligently post interesting entries, respond to all your commenters, and regularly visit other related blogs and correspondingly leave comments, you can eventually form a blog-based community. This can greatly bring more traffic to your blog
The primary purpose of all the above blog features is to facilitate easy browsing of your blog as well as to boost traffic, thereby increasing the exposure of your products and services, which can be converted into sales. Al these can make your blogging for business a success.

Are you ready to "flood-proof" your finances and life?
The past few days have all given us lessons on life and it’s fragility – and being prepared for things we don’t expect.
Let me be frank with you that even though I did wade through knee deep water – with a current- last week – to get home – I didn’t see it very much as traumatic as others who have only experienced it for the first time.
I even did this in the early 90s- before the age of cellphones – just to get to a telephone booth – because the office called me up to fix some computer related thing. Talk about dedication. It also helped that I used to live in very flood -friendly neighborhoods like San Andres Bukid, Boni (City Hall area) and San Antonio Village in Makati. Funny thing – I would always live in the house that fronted the deepest part of the flood waters.
So I’m used to -water being in the house – and with every piece of furniture being metal and there are no pieces of paper in the ground floor. My housemates would text with the message “don ‘t go home anymore” and we all know what this meant – sleep elsewhere.
Anyway, a friend of mine mentioned that because of this event, he needed to “storm proof” his business. I do agree. Again, it was a cab driver who told me that he heard that a bunch of new SUVs were floating in the Marikina River – from SM Marikina. I can only be sorry for the person who runs that business – and for all who had physical businesses only and no “backup”.
You see, the internet can be your business – or source of income. It can be your main source or a backup or a secondary source that gives you the same income you’re getting now from your job or business or even more.
Nobody asked me, but I’m answering it anyway — how has the storm affected my online business? If anything, perhaps positively! It made people aware that home, belongings and stores in the physical world (also called “meatspace”) can easily be wiped out – with no easy to make backups – but internet businesses (called “cyberspace”) can ALSO easily be wiped out – but since backups are easy to create –it can only spell a few hours of delay (if any) and you’re back in business again. Income is coming into your pockets – again.
Simple – that you set it up – set up websites that sell or blogs that earn –and you can enjoy the so-called “internet income”. You can relocate anywhere on the planet. Yes, that’s no joke – because this sort of business allows you to move around – literally.
For example, today I’m in Malolos, Bulacan – and will be here for more than a month – yet I’m still earning very well from the Internet (and exploring this province at the same time!).
